The example shown here sees the removal of a central object intruding on the main focus of the mountain peaks. Secondly, a key alteration sees the entire sky being replaced due to the original shot being taken with a disposable film camera, resulting in dark corners and an uneven sky. Finally we felt the original was slightly on the dark side so we adjusted the overall lighting effect, resulting in a more pleasing appearance, with particular emphasis given to the central focal point of the image.
Any well-altered photo should look as if it was originally intended that way. When part of an image is removed, the missing pieces must be filled in, thereby giving an authentic, unaltered feel to your photograph.
